Pedro David Covisa Requejo
Rus Hotel
This three-star hotel is well located. It features a breakfast buffet with a nice pianist playing live music. The bacon at breakfast is delicious, and for three stars, it is quite nice. The price of the hotels in Kiev is expensive and you practically have to pay a 4 or 5 stars rate for a 3 star establishment. The attention of the hotel staff was average. I was in a room on the fifth or sixth floor facing the hotel entrance and from which you could see a beautiful view of the city. Room service is pretty good, I remember having eaten a club sandwich similar to VIPS, but it had some strong Dijon mustard.
I had reserved a room with a double bed, but was given a room with 2 beds that I couldn't join together due to a desk. In those days though there was a convention of Coca-Cola executives and all the hotels were full so I had to swallow, do not give me another option. The hotel's decor is pretty typical ugly Ukranian style, it will seem that you are in a hotel of the series "Wonder Years". Overall my rating of 1 to 10 hotel is 7 that I value very well the situation of the hotel. The second time I visited Kiev, through a friend rented an apartment in the center of Kiev paying less than half that in the Hotel.
