Looking for rural lodging that allowed dogs for the weekend in Sierra de Cazorla, we were recommended this hotel and I must admit that it was a success.
The hotel is located between the towns of Coto Ríos and Arroyo Frío in the longitudinal road which crosses the park and runs from Cazorla to Tranco de Beas.
Upon arrival at the hotel and entering the reception, my first impression was that I’d entered a lodge in Maasai Mara, a Macaque, elephant feet, a bear, and even a lion (stuffed of course), every wall filled with photos of the owner, showing off his hunting trophies... Well, different strokes for different folks.
After the surprise, we descended a slope to find the rooms, pavilions located to the side of a beautiful lake. The rooms are very spacious; the beds huge, they even have a nice fireplace to make it cosier on cold mountain days.
The bathroom is very complete with an assortment of towels with embroidered logo that are changed daily.
There is also a terrace with chairs and table, to contemplate the lake or enjoy the breeze at night ... and surprise surprise, there are hardly any mosquitoes.
The hotel's lake is private, and if you like, you can even fish without a fishing license. There are trout, catfish and carp, as well as several species of ducks and turtles, a pier and a nice pool surrounded by a manicured lawn.
Pets can roam at their pleasure around the facilities as you stroll along the lake. A highly recommended site.
