Ruins of the Chapel of San Sebastian

2 reviews of Ruins of the Chapel of San Sebastian

Viewpoint of dreams in Cehegín

Excellent

Fabulous viewpoint of Casco Antiguo de Cehegín from the ruined Chapel of St. Sebastian. It's easily reached by Gran Via, at the end turn left past the New Bridge Ghost. The remains are of one of the oldest shrines in the city from the XVI century, administered by the Order of Santiago until Napoleon destroyed them in their flight from Spain. They have been recently restored and the structure has been consolidated, there are information panels, strategic lighting, a parking lot and benches. Watching the sunset is unforgettable.
