In honor of Simon de Buci
Rue de Buci is in the sixth district of Paris, on the Left Bank. Parisians generally make the difference between the left bank (more bohemian) and the right (more serious, for business and shopping). It is reached by the Odeon metro, Saint Germain des Pres or walking a bit from Saint Michel. It was named in honor of Simon de Buci, who was the first president of the parliament of Paris in the fourteenth century. It's a half pedestrian street, with dozens of small cafes, which leads to the Place Saint Michel. First are crêperies and kebab restaurants, then the street becomes more luxurious with old Parisian cafes, trendy bars for Sunday brunch or a Saturday night drink.
