Rue Buisson

La rue Buisson prend naissance place Jacquard ; actuellement on y trouve l'Ecole d'Architecture et la Chapelle Saint Bernard, aussi appelée Sainte Marie des Anges, qui est le reste d'un ancien couvent. Au début du 20è siècle, le quartier Jacquard était un quartier de rubaniers. Au numéro 14, on trouve encore le bâtiment des Etablissements J. Forest qui, édifié en 1890, fut une des premières réalisations de l'architecte Léon Lamaizière. Un immeuble cossu occupe les numéros 6 et 8. Son rez de chaussée fut entrepris par Eugène Chosson mais les étages, bâtis en 1927-1928, sont l'oeuvre du célèbre tandem Armand Subit et Yves Gouyon qui allièrent la brique et la pierre avec deux beaux arrondis inspirés de l'Art Nouveau.
