I do not know if it was the afternoon light or the stillness that inspired the Jan Palach Square, but getting to the Rudolfinum, although it was closed, was like looking at using an oasis in the city. The building is home to the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. This building, along with the National Theatre, was designed by Schulz and ZITEC and are considered to be the best examples of neo-Renaissance architecture in the city. It was the seat of the Czech Parliament wars, and the offices of the Naziz during the occupation. Currently, it hosts exhibitions and concerts which I could not enjoy, this was a real shame.
