Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse
The Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse is a "ghost" lighthouse that hasn't shed light in almost half a century. It can be found near Lønstrup, northern Denmark, in the Jutland Peninsula. Over time, this lighthouse, which was built in the beginning of the 20th century, has been buried in the sand of the beach that's been dragging it closer. Now the lighthouse is located in the middle of a huge desert that's up to 90 meters high. (That's very high considering that Danish topography typically doesn't exceed 173 meters high).
