Rúa do Souto

The Rua do Souto is one of the main shopping streets in Braga. It is on an intersection of the Praça da República, which runs next to the old castle at Arco da Porta Nova. It is a wide pedestrian street, where you can find all kinds of shops, from fashion (both local and global franchises) to wine bars, book stores, drugstores and homestores, and even rare art stores. More or less in the middle, the road widens to form the Largo da Paço square. Another commercial street is the two Capelistas cavalcade, which runs parallel to Souto, and is also near the Jardim de Santa Barbara.
