Roya Castle

Castello reale
The origins of the Moncalieri Castle date back to the thirteenth century. It was expanded in the second half of the fifteenth century by Yolanda de Valois and then again at the end of the sixteenth century by Carlo Emanuele I. The one-story castle's most recent renovation was in the seventeenth century. Amadeo Castellamonte, among other architects, was put in charge of the renovations, according to the desire of Vittorio Amedeo I and Christine of France.
