Museum in honor of the Civil Rights struggle
The Rosa Parks Museum is an interesting museum that brings visitors closer to the American Civil Rights Struggle through emotional and interactive exhibits. The museum, located on the campus of Troy University, has two separate parts: one for children and one more geared toward adults. In the adult half, part of the tour is guided and the best part was honestly our guide...she really knew how to transmit passion and enthusiasm and put the Civil Rights struggle into terms we can understand today.
One of my favorite parts was the replica of the bus that Mrs. Parks rode. You can get in and literally put your self in the shoes of the famous Civil Rights hero. It was a wonderful experience and something I'd recommend to everyone who didn't live through the 1960's.
