A symbol of love
Visitors to Central Park can't miss the symbol of true love, represented by the statue of Romeo and Juliet. Many New Yorkers have romantic meetings here, and it is often shown in movies. The two bodies in the statue come together in a romantic and eternal dance. J. Stuart Blackton was one of the first directors to tell the magnificent story of Romeo and Juliet on cinema screens in 1909 and set his version in Central Park.
