Nice room, but unpleasant staff
I stayed here this summer, and the truth is that I don't have any good memories of this hotel. I can't complain about the location, next to the historic centre and in a pedestrian area. The room was spacious, and the views were fine. But it was the other things that made my stay so unpleasant. There are details that I imagine must be difficult to anticipate or control - for example, the cockroaches in the hallway or spiders in the bathroom. But the receptionists were severely lacking customer service skills. The one who greeted us barely looked up from the computer to speak, without offering so much as half a smile.
When you leave the hotel, you have to leave the key at reception, and when you ask for it back, the receptionists look as though you've just asked them to donate a kidney! During our stay - two nights - we saw many different receptionists, but all of them shared the same inability to smile and return a greeting. Of course, I won't be coming back here, and I recommend that you don't either, unless you don't mind being treated with contempt. Oh by the way, because it's in a pedestrian area, parking and negotiating your luggage can be a bit tricky.
