A difficult passage but with lovely views of the lake
With Inversnaid Hotel as our starting point, we went north, following the shore of Loch Lomond. The road is lovely, with views of the lake, forest and mountain, until after 2 miles the road gets worse, because the wet rocks make it hard to walk and sections must be climbed little by little. We get to the prompt that marks the arrival of the cave, which is also indicated by the same English word CAVE. The last part is difficult for the height and everything is stone. But once there is the the cave, as externally is a small crack in the rock ... the views are fantastic. Historically, Rob Roy stayed here when he was an outlaw, which explains what were the reasons for not finding him...
Anyone visiting the cave will understand, it is hard to access. Two caveats, the 1st, go to the place with proper clothing and equipment. 2nd, if you have NO disabled access, you have to climb and there are parts that are very hard, The visit to the cave is promoted more from boat, which is far more relaxed. All what you like adventure, forest walks and others will find this tour a great place. By the way, to avoid the night at all costs, counseling can quickly be confused.
