River Tourism - El Canal du Midi

While searching for information on the Languedoc and the route of the Cathars, I found it one of the most unusual, fun, relaxing, fearless and curious journeys I have done. Sometimes, we have big adventures. A week of July a "peniche" a couple went on an unplanned adventure that emerged by chance. The Canal du Midi is a work conceived in the C18th to make the south of France navigable, its main objective was to improve trade relations. From the Atlantic to the Mediterranean you can cross one of the most amazing cultural, historical, culinary, scenically speaking tours. In areas declared World Heritage Site, Fonseranes Écluses in Beziers, Carcassonne, L'Etang de Thau, etc..
