Riad Ocean Medina hotel

We spent 3 days in Essaouira and the Riad Ocean Medina was the perfect home base. First off, it's easy to find. It's right next to the Bab Marrakech gate and the Supratours bus stop where the bus from Marrakech drops you off. So, no getting lost in the Medina. Second, it's centric enough that you're in the main souks of town in a 5 minute walk. Third, it's a lovely place to stay! The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, a steaming shower (hot water is not so common in Morocco), and an absolutely lovely roof-top terrace with sun chairs, tables, and little nooks and crannies for reading, enjoying a tea, or simply soaking in the sunshine.
