Pizzeria Il Fiume

We were searching for a place to eat in Dumfries that wasn't a pub, and the tourist information office recommended an Italian restaurant called Il Fiume. The restaurant is in a park with swings and things for the kids, but what we noticed most about the restaurant was the sheer amount of locals entering and exiting the place. We entered and saw a wood oven and Italian waiters running around. A good sign. However, it's not traditional Italian food...the huge portions of chips that came with every place are pure Scotland! They have a bit of everything...pizza, lasagna, desserts, all washed down with Italian wines.
