A pleasant surprise
I often travel on what I call "the doomed road". It is the one between Zaragoza and the Mediterranean coast, passing through Alcañiz, Morella, etc. By the way, if you have time and even if it is a very winding road, it is worth the bother of taking it. You will appreciate the countryside, the solitude and the lack of traffic and the beauty of its villages.
During one of these journeys, because of hunger and tiredness, we decided to stop in Quinto. And here… where can we eat? As always: ask a local. They pointed an alley to us and on one side we saw the sign “Restaurante Mallor”, bingo!
A place with a lot of history, the old type, as the photos which the owner showed us with emotion bore witness. Years of “Anís del Mono”, of the “caldo de liar” and coffee pots. Now the place is different. A pretty dining room, home-made everyday food, but incorporating details of today like serving the food on slate.
