A good find
Every year in March, a half-marathon takes place in the streets of Segovia. It's hard going, especially on the slopes, and I haven't actually run it, just watched. There are plenty of restaurants where you can go after a day's running. We opted for the California, although the name's a bit deceiving ... it is in fact traditional Spanish food. They have menus ranging in price from 16 to about 30 euros, with a variety of main courses. We tried a bit of everything ... scrambled eggs with sausage and pine nuts, Castillian soup, artichokes with ham ... simple cuisine, but absolutely delicious. And plenty
Of desserts, including apple pie, cheesecake, and flan.
