The stilt house is a small, elevated home where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked until his death. The house itself is typical of Vietnamese minorities and its main characteristic is that it’s raised on stilts. These days, the Stilt House is a major tourist attraction for the Vietnamese since it was where the father of modern Vietnam made the majority of his decisions.
The house (also called Nha San Bac Ho in Vietnamese) honestly has little attraction for Westerners. There are various soldiers there at all hours making sure you don’t touch anything. You can visit the second floor and see the salons,

Está muy cerca del Mausoleo, detrás del Palacio Presidencial, en un amplio jardín. Aquí se levanta una casa de madera, sobre pivotes para aislarla del suelo, que fue la residencia de Ho Chi Minh así como su oficina desde mayo de 1958 hasta su muerte en 1969. Es una casa sencilla, en la parte baja recibía a las visitas y miembros del partido polícico, hay una mesa larga con sillas alrededor, también se pueden ver los teléfonos (3) que utilizaba. En la parte superior está el dormitorio, también muy sencillo.

A quelques pas de l'imposant mausolée d'Ho Chi Minh, se trouve la petite maison dans laquelle notre cher oncle Ho a vécu quatre années, entre 1954 et 1958. Elevée sur pilotis, elle est dotée d'un charme tout particulier (car situé près d'un lac très joli, au cœur d'un vaste parc), et surprend le visiteur de par sa modestie. En effet, seules deux petites pièces toutes simples la composent, et notamment le bureau sur lequel l'Oncle Ho aurait rédigé la déclaration d'indépendance. Un lieu chargé d'histoire, donc !
