La Reserva Padre Nuestro è un'area protetta ed incontaminata vicino alla costa di Bayahibe, in Repubblica Dominicana, e facente parte del Parque Nacional Del Este.
La si può raggiungere in pochi minuti d'auto dal litorale hotelliero o, per chi ha voglia di camminare, anche a piedi.
Vi si accede pagando una piccola somma e, all'interno, si ha la possibilità di gironzolare liberamente seguendo i sentieri consigliati.
In vari punti strategici sono sistemate indicazioni e cartelli riportanti la storia della zona, nata come oasi di benessere in un periodo di carestia sull'isola caraibica grazie alla presenza di una particolare pianta, commestibile.
La riserva ospita anche varie grotte, una delle quali è completamente accessibile.
D'interessante, oltre alla ricca fauna composta da uccelli, rane, rettili e tantissime farfalle, è anche la foresta di cactus, altissimi e slanciati.
La Reserva Padre Nuestro a protected area and near the pristine coast of Bayahibe, Dominican Republic, and is part of the Parque Nacional del Este. The one can reach in a few minutes drive from the coast hotelliero or, for those who want to walk on foot. It is accessed by paying a small sum and, inside, it has a chance to stroll freely following the paths recommended.
