A fascinating museum
The Museo Archeologico Regionale di Gela (Gela) was opened in 1958 and is located in a newly built and renovated location. It contains artifacts from urban and surrounding areas from the prehistory. About 4200 artifacts are distributed chronologically from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
The museum is divided into two floors with collections on the topics of Gela Greek Acropolis, the area of Capo Soprano, dall'emporium, Bosco Littorio, and the necropolis.
