Regia Sarmizegetutsa Hypogeal

This stunning sanctuary can be found close to the village of Orastie. It is part the ruins of Samizegetuza whichis a World Heritage according to UNESCO. It is an old cemetery of the Dacians, a people who founded their empire in the region and had its capital there. You can see that some of the cemetery stones have been replaced by concrete or just pieces of wood. But that way you have better visual effects to represent how it was before. There is circular cemeteries and a sun disk. Then there are graves installed which are square, but the tombs themselves are round. Data from the first century BC.
