Raudholar

An interesting place in Vatnajokull National Park in northern Iceland is Raudholar (red mountain), a mountain with a special colouring in Jökulsárgljúfur Park. It is characterised by the red hills of rhyolite ash colour which contrast with their surroundings. You can not get to the top. The area is protected to prevent degradation.
