3 reviews of Ramsgate

Coastal town in Kent

Ramsgate is a seaside town in the district of Thanet in Kent, England. During the 19th century, it became one of the most important cities of the English coast. Today it has a population of about 40,000 inhabitants and remains one of the main attractions of the coast of England. Historically, it was a fishing town, and today that industry continues to thrive, along with tourism. Ferries leave the harbour every week for a number of destinations. There's also a very pleasant beach, as well as some great restaurants and bars.
