Ramanaya Ballet

Ramanaya Ballet in Prambanan.

The Ramayana ballet recounts one of the most famous episodes of Hinduism: the story of Rama and Shina. In the play we see the vicissitudes of the couple who are forced to deal with enemies and deceit before coming together in happy marriage. The special thing about Prambanan is that we can enjoy the show whilst also enjoying the lit up ruins in the background.
