Claudia Barco
Radison Guesthouse
I stayed here for four days and nights. The guesthouse is very well located, just two blocks from Chuy Prospekt, the main street in Bishkek. The owners, a Slavic couple (I'm not sure if they are Russians, Ukrainians or Slavs) are very nice people. They serve breakfast on the patio during the summer and the rooms have plenty of privacy despite the size of the hotel and surrounding area. Everything is very clean and rooms are well-equipped with TV, fan, air conditioning, heating, hot water for tea and a fairly new bathroom. The downside is the bed. The mattresses look like they have come from a cartoon show.
No matter how you try to move it, the bed underneath does not support the mattress. You wake up in pain, so beware. Incidentally, I tried other beds and they were all the same. The double room rate is $50, a plentiful breakfast is included.
