Quebrada de Santa Cruz

The gorge of Santa Cruz is the most spectacular of the two gorges that are crossed to make the four-day trek from Santa Cruz. It is located in the Cordillera Blanca and is separated from the creek of Huaripampa through La Punta Union, the highest point of the two creeks. The Santa Cruz gorge is spectacular as you can see the most beautiful mountains in the area, such as Alpamayo, considered the most beautiful mountain in the world. The terrain is completely green and fairly flat and makes for easy hiking. There are two spots on this creek that are suitable for camping and they are about four hours away from each other.
