If quers travel throughout the Republic Argentina by car, our recommendation is the National Route 40, a road that runs parallel to the Andes, from the border with Bolivia to Cabo virgins in the province of Santa Cruz. It is incredible because it crosses some national parks in addition to have all the time in the mountains as acompaante. One of the accidents geogrficos traversing this route, is the Gorge of Arrows, located in the 4380 kilometer of this route, in the department of San Carlos, in the province of Salta, north of Argentina too. La Quebrada de Las Flechas is part of the Provincial Natural Monument Angastaco. Across the creek it is impossible not to think of the moon, as must be the landscapes in our satellite: look strange rock formations that protrude with a height of up to 50 meters above the ground; with a color ranging from ashen to a reddish copper, depending on the time of day that will pass by all. They extend up to 20 kilometers within Calchaqu Valles.

In the valley of Calchaquies between Angastaco and Cafayate, there is an amazing stone forest. A rugged trail leads us through the valley, among rocks that wind erosion carved in the shape of arrows pointed to the sky. It is worth climbing the path to the small gazebo to watch the spectacle of the setting sun that paints of various colors to stunning mineral.
