Grancaffè Quadri

Florian or Quadri? It's a dilemma you have when you want to grab a coffee in the Piazza San Marco. Luckily, 2 nights after we finished our tour of Venice, we ended up in this square, so I could try both cafes. Which is better? Everyone has different tastes, but for the view, I prefer Quadri. Located under the arches of the Procuradurías Viejas, this beautiful cafe opened its doors in 1775 and was run by Giorgio Quadri. During part of the year (at least until mid-October) it has a beautiful terrace in the piazza, which is worth checking out at night, listening to the wonderful orchestra playing the classics.
