One of the most imoprtant civilizations of the era
This is an archaeological place in Bahrain, which was once the capital of the Dilmun civilization, 1 of the most important civilizations of the area, and later was a strong Portuguese settlement. There are relics that confirm that this place was occupied over 4,000 years ago. In it we find an artificial mound created by many successive layers of human occupation in the excavations that have been conducted which have revealed buildings, among which are residential, public, commercial, religious and military, which show the significance of this place as a trading port throughout the centuries. At the top of the mound 12 meters high, is the impressive Qal `at al-Burtughal, the Portuguese fort, whose name means strength Qalat, in this place you can also visit the Al Fateh and Pearl Museum.
