Pyramid of Caius Cestius

The Pyramid of Cestius is located in the Piazzale Ostiense in Rome. For me the magic of this place is the fact that I never could have imagined something like it without traveling to Egypt. The only problem is that you have to make a reservation ahead of time to visit it. Cat lovers say that this place is full of cats. There's even an association of people dedicated to care. Any curiosity!

The Pyramid of Caius Cestius is an ancient Egyptian pyramid in Rome. Near the Pyramid you will find other monuments, like the Porta of San Paolo, underground stations , hotels and restaurants.

It was built around the year 12 BC as a tomb for Caius Cestius. Its squared base is around 30 meters wide 36.40 meters high.
