Puttalam Station

Puttalam Station is dusty and hectic. We arrived mid-afternoon, after a 3 hour bus trip from Anuradhapura. The roadyou travel along can be fatal, and several police checks don't help things. From Puttalam, things improve, with asphalt and air-conditioned buses, a great luxury, to tour the coast. Buses leave every hour or so in the direction of Colombo, Negombo and through the hotel zone of the coast. You can get off at any point, you have to ask "junction" for such and such people. You will be charged the full tour price, and the bus driver even charged us an additional seat for luggage, but it's a low price so it doesn't matter too much.
