Volcanic black beach and salt mine
By chance we ended up in a very quiet region of the Dominican Republic with only one hotel. That place turned out to be one of the greatest wonders I've ever seen. Nice beach in a quiet bay. Most striking is that, contrary to what the whole world thinks of the Caribbean, it was a black sand beach because the area was in volcanic. Furthermore, as seen in the photos, it was also a disused salt mine. Hence the name of Punta Salinas.
