Heaven exists

Heaven exists and it's in the South Pacific, 22 hours by plane from home. It's an island called Bora Bora in French Polynesia. There's a beach called Matira that has sunsets so beautiful and magical that it sends a shiver down your spine. So many lights and colors. It's a real experience for the senses and you can also dive with turtles, sharks (the friendly kind), and all kinds of tropical fish. It's the best place I've been to in my life. 100% recommended.

Perfect place for a honeymoon

Punta Matira Beach in Bora Bora was the perfect place to go on our honeymoon. the truth is that the view we had from the over-water hut was marvelous. The island is indeed very small but just knowing that you are on a little piece of land in the middle of the Pacific is amazing. You can't beat the completely blue sky, green palm trees with coconuts, and fish passing under your feed. The resort staff were super friendly, always with a smile on their face. It is a journey I recommend at least once in your life.

La spiaggia libera di Punta Matira è piccola ma molto carina. La laguna sembra essere infinita e i suoi colori sono davvero unici! Qualsiasi resort, ogni giorno, ha a disposizione la barca che gratuitamente accompagna i propri clienti a Punta Matira. In spiaggia non ci sono né lettini e né ombrelloni ma per avere un po' di fresco basta sdraiarsi sotto alle palme. Noi siamo andati alla mattina, secondo me è il momento migliore perché non è affollata e si può godere al 100% della bellezza e della pace di questo stupendo paradiso. Chi non volesse tornare al proprio resort per pranzo può andare a mangiare nei resort vicino alla spiaggia (Intercontinental Le Moana, Maitai ecc...) oppure in alcuni ristoranti polinesiani sempre vicinissimi alla spiaggia. L'unica cosa che mi ha un po' delusa è stato lo snorkelling: mi aspettavo di vedere molti più pesci!

The beach of Punta Matira is small but very nice. The lagoon seems to be endless and the colors are really unique! Any resort, every day, has at its disposal the boat free accompanies its customers in Punta Matira. On the beach there are no chairs and no umbrellas but to have a little 'fresh just lie down under the palm trees. We went in the morning, in my opinion is the best time because it is not crowded and you can enjoy 100% of the beauty and peace of this beautiful paradise. Who does not want to return to your resort for lunch can go to eat in the resort near the beach (Intercontinental Le Moana, Maitai etc ...) or in some Polynesian restaurants always very close to the beach. The only thing I was a little 'disappointed was snorkelling: I expected to see many more fish!

Questa magnifica spiaggia di sabbia bianca contornata da palme verdi è l'unica libera in tutta Bora Bora, ed è una gran cosa visto che vi trovate in un luogo non molto economico.. tra le altre cose vi si può assistere ad un fantastico tramonto ....Quindi la consiglio vivamente per passarvi una bellissima giornata di mare in tutto relax e a 5 Stelle.

This magnificent white sand beach surrounded by green palm trees is the only free across Bora Bora, and it is a great thing because you are in a place not very cheap .. among other things there you can watch the spectacular sunsets .... So I highly recommend to spend a beautiful day at the beach in a relaxing and 5 Stars.

Puesta de sol en Bora Bora

Al atardecer, es típico ver a los polinesios metidos en el agua con una red capturando la cena En las playas de Matira, mientras el sol poco a poco va descendiendo y el cielo adquiere un colorido espectacular. Mientras el descenso se va completando, se divisan varias personas a lo lejos de pie sobre unas tablas con un remo, que dan la sensación de caminar sobre el agua. Poco a poco el océano engulle al sol que se despide cada noche en Punta Matira ante cientos de curiosos que acuden al lugar a divisar una de las puestas de sol mas famosas y hermosas del planeta.

At sunset, it is typical to see the Polynesians standing in the water with a net catching dinner at Matira beaches as the sun slowly descends and the sky becomes a colorful spectacular. While the decline is being completed, you can see in the distance several people standing on tables with an oar, which give the feeling of walking on water. Gradually the ocean swallows the sun every night bouncing Matira before hundreds of onlookers who flock to the place to see one of the most famous sunsets and beautiful planet.

Voyage en Polynésie

Le mont otemanu à bora bora, aux îles sous le vent. Il s'agit de la plus haute montagne de l'ile. Nous sommes allés sur cette île juste après raiatea et avant d'aller sur rangiroa. Un endroit excellent pour les activités (jet ski, conservatoire des tortues au méridien hôtel,...), mais pas forcément le plus beau de l'archipel ( coup de coeur pour maupiti, plus petit,plus typique et moins touristique...)

Mount Otemanu in Bora Bora, the Leeward Islands. It is the highest mountain of the island. We went on this island just after raiatea and before going on Rangiroa. A great place for activities (jet skiing, conservatory turtles meridian hotel ...), but not necessarily the most beautiful of the archipelago (crush on Maupiti, smaller, more typical and less touristy ... )
