The quintessential English Georgian bridge
This is one of the most iconic bridges in England due to size and design. This makes it one of the most interesting places Bath. The bridge crosses the Avon River, and links the both sides of the city. By the end of the 17th century it was the most important spa town in the UK and possibly Europe. It was built by Frances Pulteney in 1770, who wanted to base this bridge in their Italian counterparts: Vecchio and Rialto Bridge. In my opinion, this is an architectural marvel which hasn't been properly promoted.
