One tip I always give people who ask me for advice about somewhere to stay in Thailand is that hotels here are very cheap, so it's worth paying a price a little above the minimum to enjoy 5-star comfort. This is the case of the Kingpower Pullman Hotel. It provides excellent service, with large rooms, and the most varied buffet. They have a free tuk tuk to pick you up and take you to the Victory Monument skytrain stop, a few minutes walk away. A double room costs about 60 € and is really worth it.
