The port is an important fishing point and there are a variety of different fishing vessels of different sizes starting with a myriad of green, larger vessels and ending with small boats. In the port you can also see fishing nets and even people working on small shipyards. I also recommend visiting the taverns port eg Al Faisaliah restaurant where you can eat very well and cheaply, for example they serve great portions or fresh sardines with paella and a free soda or beer, but I would recommend trying the portions of the fish of the day if you want to try high quality fish caught on the day and
