Great Irish Ambiance 7 Days a Week

Excellent

In the typical Temple Bar neighborhood there are many pubs, but I didn't find any that offered the environment that Quays does every day of the week, including live music at almost every hour! If you go on any weekday at 5 pm, you can sit quietly and enjoy a Guinness and listen to soothing live music from a different artist each day, typically singing with an acoustic guitar: classic American pop-rock genres mostly, and also British (stuff like The Beatles, Sweet Home Alabama ...). However, never skipping the typical Irish songs: Galway Girl, Whiskey in the Jar, Molly Malone ... On Friday and Saturday the party moves upstairs, where the show starts at 10-10:30 and lasts almost two hours.

The atmosphere is indescribable, with everyone singing along, Irish, and people from countries all over the world. It's the perfect place to disconnect from work during the week or spend the evening with friends on the weekends.

Beware of bathroom scam

OK

Turist here. We came in attracted by the nice atmosphere and live music. The bar staff was nice, served us quickly, the security guards were very friendly and welcoming. I can't talk about the food because we came just for drinks.

The reason for the 2 stars is because we were charged 5 euros for using the men toilets and wqshing hands (no soap) by a person that was not an employee here. When we asked the manager/owner (not sure what his position was) about this situation, he just told us we shouldn't have payed the money, and nothing more to it.

I can't understand why they are allowing this individual to "conduct his business" in their location, unless they take a cut from this scam. I hope that at least it's worth this bad review.

Avoid or just refuse to pay for washing your hands if you visit this place.
