Proxy

Nel quartiere trendy della Hayes Valley, si trova uno spazio molto strano e interessante. Viene chiamato Proxy o Proxy project, ed è uno spazio aperto in cui sono stati posizionati e una serie containers di recupero, che ospitano negozi, esposizioni, ed anche un Biergarten, ossia una birreria con tanti tavoli all'aperto. Sono passata qui di pomeriggio e il luogo, soprattutto la birreria pullulava di giovani e di vita. All'inizio si resta u po' spiazzati dal luogo, che potrebbe apparire come una parte di un porto commerciale nel bel mezzo della zona trendy di San Francisco, ma avvicinandosi si rimane stupiti nel vedere che quei container grigi sono in realtà boutique di qualità, anche a due piani. Parte delle strutture metalliche è stata sostituita dal vetro per creare delle vetrine. Lo spazio centrale era vuoto quando ci sono stata io, ma so che vi si tengono festival ed eventi, la birreria, invece, a quanto pare è sempre piena. Un modo molto "urban" per recuperare spazi metropolitani.

In the trendy neighborhood of Hayes Valley, is a space very strange and interesting.
