Enter the world of science and recreation

Just upon entry, after passing by the hall full of shops, we get to the main floor. It’s a large space with small subexpositions with many windows between beams, giving the feeling that we’re looking out at the blue sky through an enormous skeleton’s ribs. On one side there’s the 30-meter long Foucault pendulum, one of the biggest in the world. On the other the DNA display, surrounded by surprised children that don’t completely understand what the chain of colors represents.

The multitude of exhibitions and diverse scientific experiments perfectly entertain visitors, as well as the exhibitions

(lucky for me, there was a Marvel super hero exhibition during my visit), make this an ideal place for both science and recreation.

Interactive Experiences

Excellent

This building complex by Santiago Calatrava is a must see. This science museum has already become a world reference in interactive science, and it is one of the most visited museums in the country, with more than 25 million visitors since it was opened in 2000. Its main objective is to promote, specially in children, curiosity and critical thinking, as well as an interest for investigation, trying to surprise and amuse people through subjects such as science, environment and technology.

Fees: adults 4.70 Euros; reduced fee, 3.40 Euros. Groups: 67 Euros for a Spanish guide; 77 Euros in other languages. Maximum 20 persons per group. Hours: 10:30, 12:30 and 16:30 (and 18:30 in high season).

You have to organize your trip to Valencia very well, since this city has more, and more places to visit each year.
