Reconquista
One of the most charming spots in Santiago
The Praza do Toural in Santiago de Compostela is located at the beginning of the old city between Rua do Vilar and Rua Nova. It's not the biggest or most impressive square in Santiago, but it's a popular meeting point for the locals and it does have some beautiful baroque buildings. The most important buildings are the Pazo de Benda (18th century) which currently houses the Museo Granell dedicated to the surrealist artist Eugenio Granell and Casa Bescansa. In the middle of the square is a fountain. During warm weather, various cultural activities take place here. Personally, as someone who knows the city well, I think it's one of the most charming spots in Santiago.
