Praia do Vau

Praia do Vau, a continuation of Praia da Rocha, is a popular beach in the summer, especially for families, as the waters are fairly quiet. It's a beautiful beach and like all of the Algarve has eroded rocks which gives it an idyllic, almost dreamlike appearance, it's a place to visit any time of year and the last time I visited was for the bridge in December. We arrived via a stroll from Rocha beach, rested at a kiosk that closes their windows in winter but you can continue watching the sea through the glass. Another option that's more convenient but less contemplative is to get there by car/bus.
