Praia de Botafogo

Apesar de ser completamente imprópria para o banho, a Praia de Botafogo é um dos principais cartões postais do Rio de Janeiro. De lá é possível avistar tanto o Cristo Redentor quanto o Pão de Açúcar, dois dos principais pontos turísticos da cidade. Outras atrações do local são o Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro, os jardins da Avenida Beira-Mar (projeto paisagístico do francês Paulo Villon), e a ciclovia. Tudo isso com uma vista privilegiada. Quem quiser comer, ou até fazer umas compras, pode aproveitar logo ali em frente, o Botafogo Praia Shopping, que possui em seu último piso uma varanda com vista completa da enseada, onde é também possível fazer ótimas fotos. Pra quem curte fazer compras na viagem, o shopping também tem a vantagem de ser uma alternativa ao concorrente Rio Sul, que geralmente é o mais procurado pelos turistas que visitam a cidade. Já a noite, vale também conhecer os diversos bares e casas noturnas do bairro, como o Saloon 79, Bar do Adão, Bukowski, Itaipava, Big Ben, Casa da Matriz, Botequim Informal, entre muitos outros. O acesso a Praia de Botafogo de ônibus é bem fácil pra quem vem do Centro ou de outros bairros da Zona Sul. De metrô, basta descer nas estações Flamengo ou Botafogo.

The Rio de Janeiro without doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the beach and cove of Botafogo one of its special places. Faço o mesmo caminho todos os dias de manhã, passando pela orla de Botafogo. Ainda assim, a luz do nascer do sol consegue fazer um novo efeito todas as vezes, deixando a silhueta do Pão de Açúcar destacada como um desenho na paisagem. Cidade Maravilhosa!
