Prades Main Square

The Plaza Mayor in Prades is the perfect place to sit and drink vermouth in peace, as it is a particularly quiet and pleasant place. The square houses the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and a very curious spherical fountain, dating from the Renaissance period. The square, like all main squares, is the epicenter of all the events and activities in the village. The day I went was Palm Sunday and there were many people gathered waiting for the priest to bless their palms and olive branches.
