Named after the famous Portuguese poet
Avenida Carvalho Araújo ends (in the north) at Praça Luis de Camões. This place makes the boundary between the modern and medieval town of Vila Real. It's a square that serves as a roundabout and has 2 unique buildings - the Palace of Justice and the Post Office. The perimeter is surrounded by a small garden, but the highlight is the fountain, or Chafariz, in the center. The square is named after the famous Portuguese poet/writer Luis de Camões, author of the book "Lusiads" whose monument is also a tribute to one of the sides of this square.
