Two freshwater wells
A little beyond The Laguna La Niña Encantada , only 6 kilometres from the Valle de los Molles along the road leading to Las Lenas, we found the Well of Souls which was formerly called Trolope-Co by the indigenous people, which means dead water or Gritadero of souls. The wind blows very hard in this area and makes a whistling sound which is what has given rise to its name. It's made up of two freshwater wells that used to be separated by a very thin smooth stone wall, which time will soon erode, leaving a single well.
The cut walls are really impressive and every so often some vegetation appears there in the desert areas and can be seen in one of the well's walls as the water rises or falls. There is a well-known hotel in the area famous for its hot springs. The whereabouts are that of the well, the other information is from the City of San Rafael.
