Porvoo

Porvoo es una pequeña ciudad muy pintoresca a 50 km de Helsinki. Data del siglo XIV. La ciudad es famosa por sus casas rojas de madera a lo largo del río. Otros lugares de interés son su catedral una de las más antiguas de Finlandia con piezas que datan del siglo XI. El edificio se incendio cuatro veces entre 1300 y 1700. Lamentablemente la iglesia fue incendiada nuevamente en el 2006. Otro momento difícil aconteció en 1941, cuando fue bombardeada en plena II Guerra Mundial.

Viví por un año en esta ciudad y hay muchas cosas lindas para ver y hacer, visitar la torre de los pájaros, caminar por el bosque, ir a pescar, y lo mejor es en invierno cuando se congela el rio y puedes ir a caminar sobre el... subir a su colina y hacer snow-board o esquiar es magnifico también!!!
