Portinho de Arrábida Beach

O Portinho da Arrábida é um pequeno paraíso de águas azuis, calmas e cristalinas, com o verde da Serra por cenário. Não será por acaso que um dos primeiros monges capuchinhos que por lá se instalaram no séc. XVI tenha exclamado 'se não estou no Paraíso, estarei nos seus arrabaldes'. A serra ainda conserva florestas ancestrais de carrascos e é a casa de inúmeras espécies animais e vegetais. Caminhar ou andar de bicicleta com este cenário é de cortar a respiração. Tem o antigo convento, local de contemplação e harmonia, adormecido no seu leito, que pode ser visitado com marcação prévia. Tem a Fortaleza de Santa Maria repousada a seus pés, antigo edifício de guarda avançada de corsários e hoje Museu Oceanográfico, que alberga uma colecção de história natural que nos remete aos primórdios da oceanografia em Portugal e nos dá um retrato da enorme riqueza das suas águas, sendo simultaneamente um laboratório de campo de biologia marinha. Chegando à praia pode descalçar os sapatos e sentir a areia fina nos pés, desfrutar das águas calmas para um mergulho, ou almoçar peixe fresco num dos restaurantes à disposição. Com um bocadinho de sorte podemos ainda ver os golfinhos roazes da população residente, que por vezes aqui se vêm alimentar. Não há como querer voltar, e voltar, e voltar...

Portinho Arrábida is a small paradise of blue, calm and crystalline waters, with the green of the Sierra by scenario. Se há locais que se podem chamar "Paraisos na Terra", o Portinho da Arrábida é sem dúvida um deles. O Portinho é uma pequena aldeia do distrito de Setubal que aos pé da Serra da Arrábida, e a beijar o mar, esta aldeia não têm muito que ver para além do seu Museu Oceanográfico (que por azar estava fechado). Mas não precisa de monumentos, o grande monumento é a aldeia em si! Serra e praia num só sitio, a um pulinho da cidade! Os acessos não são dos mais fáceis, mas tudo o que vale a pena não é fácil, e acreditem, vale mesmo muito a pena! A cor daquelas águas, aquelas areias limpas, o verde da serra, o azul do mar! ah eu era ali tão feliz! :D Melhor, só verem as imagens. Excelente só mesmo visitarem! :D não se vão arrepender!

O Portinho da Arrábia é um local que nós adoramos e ao qual vamos frequentemente, quer seja no Verão para ir á praia e no final do dia comer umas ameijoas á Bulhão Pato, um peixe fresquinho ou até mesmo um Arroz de marisco. O portinho é um local lindo de paisagem e com uma praia óptima, onde nos sentimos longe de tudo. Deixamos aqui alguns dados sobre o Portinho da Arrábida e para os que ainda não conhecem esperemos que fiquem curiosos em ir conhecer, porque é nosso e é um pequeno para Paraíso. Portinho da Arrábida é uma pequena aldeia, pertencente à freguesia de São Lourenço, concelho e distrito de Setúbal, mais conhecida pela praia adjacente à localidade. O Portinho da Arrábida, está inserido na Paisagem Protegida da Serra da Arrábida, é uma praia que tem o formato de uma concha. Quem a visita não a esquece jamais por duas razões: Uma porque é de uma beleza rara, com as suas águas de um azul marinho límpido é fascinante. Localiza-se na Serra da Arrábida que a rodeia a Norte, a Oeste de Setúbal (cerca de 13 km) e a Este de Sesimbra cerca de 21 km), tendo a Sul o Oceano Atlântico, junto à foz do rio Sado. Como chegar: O acesso, vindo de Setúbal, é difícil e faz-se, por terra, de duas maneiras: • pelo coração da Serra da Arrábida, uma estrada montanhosa, estreita e com um pavimento algo irregular, apesar de ser um percurso pitoresco com paisagens bonitas; • por uma estrada com problemas de estabilização de vertentes e com trânsito condicionado ao fim-de-semana: Só se pode regressar antes das 9 horas e depois das 18 horas; só para veículos ligeiros (ou outros devidamente autorizados). Por Sesimbra, é a estrada montanhosa que leva a Setúbal. Ao chegar ao Portinho, a estrada é estreita e durante o Verão o trânsito condicionado durante o fim-de-semana, das 9H às 18H. Onde ficar: Existe uma residencial e a possibilidade de arrendar (uma das poucas) moradias durante o Verão. Gastronomia Em tudo igual à de Setúbal sendo de destacar dois dos restaurantes estarem, parcialmente, sobre o mar e a comida é de facto fabulosa. Pontos de Interesse: Apesar da sua pequena dimensão, o Portinho da Arrábida tem três locais de interesse: O Museu Oceanográfico, a Pedra da Anicha e, claramente a mais conhecida, a praia do Portinho da Arrábida. Praia do Portinho da Arrábida Localizada entre as praias de Alpertuche (a ocidente) e de Galápos (a oriente) é uma praia rochosa, junto à localidade, sendo mais arenosa à medida que se caminha para este (em direcção a Setúbal). Recentemente foi melhorado um acesso à praia, com parques de estacionamento, que facilita aos visitantes chegarem à praia e permite um desanuviamento de trânsito no Portinho. Vindo do Portinho, os turistas/veraneantes escolhem a parte mais rochosa ou caminham, numa via de terra batida, bastante acidentada, até à parte maior e mais arenosa. Museu Oceanográfico Localiza-se no Forte de Santa Maria da Arrábida e possui uma colecção de fauna e flora da Arrábida, fundada pelo naturalista setubalense Luíz Gonzaga do Nascimento. Pedra da Anicha É uma afloramento rochoso, pertencente a uma antiga linha de costa, a 100 metros da praia e é Reserva zoológica do Parque Natural da Arrábida, pela sua fauna marinha e algumas algas. É também conhecida por ser um local de caça submarina, apesar de haver alguma controvérsia sobre a legalidade desta acção.
