Portal de Americana

A cidade de Americana SP, pouco mais de 100 km da capital, é linda, limpa e aconchegante. Começa pela sua entrada, onde foi construído um imponente portal, com a finalidade de homenagear os imigrantes norte americanos, que, contribuíram na época, para o grande avanço nas atividades agrícola e na indústria têxtil. Acontece, que na obra original, nas duas extremidades do arco, foram construídas esculturas de um homem e uma mulher, "gordinhos", e nus. A finalidade artística era mostrar a força dos imigrantes, apoiando o arco. No entanto, isto provocou uma discórdia na população, o que determinou a retirada destas esculturas e a manutenção do arco e os pórticos. A história, ficou por conta das esculturas laterais do arco. A entrada da cidade é linda. O portal passou a ser ponto turístico dos visitantes pela imponência e curiosidade dos turístas em relação a sua história.

Movimentado, organizado e pouco atrativo. Local com infraestrutura para esportes como corrida, caminhada, corda, bicicleta e esportes do gênero. Espaço agradável para piquenique. Não há estrutura de sanitários. As esculturas tem a intenção de contar um pouco da história da cidade.
