Some charming corners
Probably some may criticize me for what I'm going to say about Porto Vecchio, tastes vary. In all the guides I read Porto Vecchio out as one of the most beautiful and most charming places of Corsica, so I was anxious to see this beauty with my own eyes, but when I did ... I was disappointed. Porto Vecchio disappointed me a lot and, although it has quite charming corners, I was more drawn by more unknown Corsican towns. One thing that caught my attention is that the port is not connected to the old town and to visit this area you must leave the citadel and walk through some streets of the modern city.
In the harbor you can enjoy the sight of beautiful boats, as there are many rich people holiday here. This is a small port that is completely overrun with restaurants and clubs that open only during the summer season. Especially in the months of July and August this part of the city has an amazing atmosphere. Another thing that can be done is boat trips. There are numerous agencies that organize day trips or island Bonifacio Lavezzi. These excursions are pricey, but they take you to wonderful areas to see some of the nature reserves of Corsica. What did I have to recognize is that Porto Vecchio is very well kept and for example all around the harbor is well-kept vegetation which includes flowers, which add great color to the place.
